Amid the war in neighbouring Ukraine, surging energy prices and inflation in Europe, 32 percent are neutral on the issue, while 4 percent are undecided, according to pollster CBOS.

The number of those positive about the economy remained unchanged from the previous survey a month earlier, while the number of negative comments decreased by 4 percentage points, the pollster said.

The percentage of respondents who said the country as a whole was headed in the right direction increased to 30 percent from 29 percent in February, the survey also found.

Meanwhile, 54 percent, down from 55 percent in February, said things in the country were moving in the wrong direction, according to CBOS.

The poll was carried out from March 6 to 16 on a representative, random sample of 993 adult respondents, state news agency PAP reported.
