One of Poland's wealthiest individuals described how he tried to transfer control of the company but faced a lack of gratitude and preparation from his children.
"There was a lack of what is called human wisdom. My children took our issues to the media, which harmed the company, and ultimately all of us," said the businessman.
Solorz explained that his original plan was to gradually introduce his children to managing the business, but it turned out that they wanted to take control sooner.
Although he agreed to transfer control of the foundation to them, he changed his mind after the younger generation's manipulations.
"This time, my children outright deceived me. The document was complicated, with references to paragraphs from other legal documents that I don't have in my head," Solorz added.
The billionaire emphasized that in August 2023, he agreed to accelerate the process but ultimately regretted that decision. He noted that his children wanted more, faster, which was not in line with his plans.
Zygmunt Solorz is a prominent Polish entrepreneur and the founder of Cyfrowy Polsat, a leading media and telecommunications company in Poland. With a net worth of 7.72 billion PLN, he ranks 7th on Forbes' 2024 list of the wealthiest individuals.
