Polish restaurant named the best in the world for Neapolitan pizza

Zielona Górka, a pizzeria in Pabianice, Poland, has been named the best place in the world for Neapolitan pizza by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN), which represents around 1,100 pizzerias from over 50 countries.

This is only the second time in history that a non-Neapolitan pizzeria has won the title, following a previous victory in São Paulo.

Zielona Górka has already appeared three times in the prestigious Top 50 Pizza World ranking, gaining international recognition and attracting customers from across Poland and beyond.

Its owner, Jędrzej Lewandowski, an architect by training, spent two years perfecting his pizza-making skills through trial and error. He emphasizes the importance of small businesses for the economy, employing 20 people and actively supporting local enterprises.


Pabianice, a town about 15 km (9 miles) from Łódź in central Poland, is home to Pizzeria Zielona Górka, which has received a prestigious award.
