The Open Cages organization, which has long fought for animal rights, is taking a stand against animal cruelty on February 14. Activists want to end the suffering of foxes and minks killed for their fur. As part of their Valentine's Day campaign, they sent thousands of Valentine's postcards on this issue directly to the Polish Prime Minister.

"Today, on Valentine's Day, we delivered several thousand postcards to Donald Tusk. They were written by people from across Poland who refuse to tolerate the suffering of animals on fur farms. There is already a proposal in the Polish parliament for a ban, but it’s up to the government to decide when - and even if - it will come into effect," the organization’s representatives explained via social media.

"On this symbolic day of love, we reminded everyone that true love means caring for those who cannot defend themselves. Together with the International Animal Movement Viva! Foundation, we called for a swift end to this cruel business," the activists emphasized.
