The ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday evening at Poland’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, two days after the Academy Awards.

Eisenberg, known for his role in “The Social Network” and most recently “A Real Pain,” has Polish ancestry. He revealed his intent to obtain Polish citizenship last year, citing familial ties to Lublin and Krasnystaw in eastern Poland.

Eisenberg’s new film, for which he is nominated for an Oscar for directing and writing, follows two cousins traveling to Poland to explore their grandmother’s home before she migrated to the U.S.

President Duda and First Lady Agata Kornhauser‑Duda will meet with Polish communities in Chicago on Sunday and participate in the Kazimierz Pułaski Day celebrations on Monday.

On Tuesday, Duda will hold meetings in New York, including discussions with officials from Westinghouse/Bechtel, the UN General Assembly, and representatives of the media, concluding with Eisenberg’s citizenship ceremony.
