The first trial transmission took place on February 1, 1925, from a broadcasting station in Warsaw operated by a now-defunct private company called Polish Radio Technical Society (PTR).

The historic first words aired were solemnly delivered by the company's director, Roman Rudniewski: "This is the trial radio broadcasting station of the Polish Radio Technical Society on the 385-metre wave band."

This technical experiment paved the way for the official establishment of Polish Radio on August 18, 1925.

Regular programming officially began on April 18, 1926, marking the start of a rich legacy in Polish media.
