During a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump suggested on Tuesday that Palestinians in the Gaza Strip could be resettled in neighboring Arab countries, which would finance housing projects to create “unlimited numbers of jobs.”

He further claimed that the United States would “take over” Gaza, leveling the territory as part of a redevelopment plan.

Speaking to Polish broadcaster RMF FM, Szejna said that Poland’s position, consistent with decades of United Nations resolutions, is that the future of the Palestinian people must be decided by the Palestinians.

“We support the recognition of a two‑state solution, including the state of Palestine," Szejna said. "Just as we say that no decisions about Ukraine can be made without Ukraine, likewise, no decisions about Palestine should be made without the Palestinians."

While Szejna acknowledged Trump’s ability to rapidly secure a ceasefire—with the previous US administration achieving a suspension of hostilities—he argued that further dialogue should include views from the Gulf countries as well as direct input from the Palestinian people, with whom Poland maintains diplomatic contacts.
