Held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, the event brought together winners of national competitions from 17 countries in Europe, Asia, North Africa, Australia and the Middle East.
First place went to Bianca-Alexandra Bogdan from the Mandarin Oriental Doha Hotel. Elias Abou Jaoude from the Jumeirah Al Qasr hotel in the United Arab Emirates was named first runner-up.
The competition consisted of two stages in which the participants were tested in a wide range of back- and front-office skills, with questions covering topics such as costs, profits, revenue, staffing level, occupancy rates, and customer service.
Studziński is a graduate of a high school specializing in hospitality and catering services. He also holds a bachelor's degree in economic analysis from the University of Technology in Gdańsk, northern Poland.
In previous years, he won awards in hospitality services at events such as World Skills Poland, World Skills and Euro Skills.
The World’s Best Receptionist Competition is organized annually by the International Association for Front Office Managers and Assistant Hotel Managers (AICR). It is a network of more than 1,000 hoteliers around the world.
