In September, Germany's exports to Russia fell by 5.6 percent from August to EUR 1 billion, while its imports from Russia decreased by 33.1 percent in month-on-month terms to EUR 1.8 billion, the Rzeczpospolita newspaper reported, citing Germany's Federal Statistical Office.

Meanwhile, The New York Times newspaper has reported that, while Russia’s exports to the United States, Britain and other countries have fallen this year, its trade with China, India, Turkey and even Belgium and the Netherlands has boomed, in part due to higher energy prices.

According to Polish state news agency PAP, the total value of Russia’s exports has grown since its February 24 invasion of Ukraine.

Thursday is day 253 of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
