Around 18,200 housing units were completed nationwide in January, the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said on Tuesday.
It added that the number of housing starts last month, at around 9,400, was 19.9 percent lower than in the same period a year earlier.
Meanwhile, overall output in Poland’s construction-and-assembly sector rose by 2.4 percent in January in year-on-year terms, while decreasing by 55.1 percent month on month, the state-run statistics agency also reported.
Builders completed around 238,600 new homes in Poland last year, 1.7 percent more than in 2021, Statistics Poland said last month in a preliminary estimate.
