The study, out on Wednesday, was conducted by pollster United Surveys for the Dziennik Gazeta Prawna newspaper and private radio broadcaster RMF FM.
Nearly half of those surveyed supported the idea of reintroducing the draft, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
Support for such a move was strongest among those aged 50 to 69, with 40 percent of female respondents also in favour of military conscription, the poll found.
There are currently no plans to restore military conscription in Poland, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reported, citing the defence ministry.
The poll was conducted on February 3 and 4 on a nationwide sample of 1,000 adult respondents, the PAP news agency reported.
Wednesday is day 357 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
