Tomasz J. exploited his relationship with PiS (Law and Justice) MP Iwona Arent to gain access to key officials in Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki’s government, including Michał Dworczyk and Krzysztof Tchórzewski.

According to Onet’s findings, he also established connections with executives of state-owned companies, such as Daniel Obajtek from the energy giant Orlen and Michał Kuczmierowski, the head of the Government Strategic Reserves Agency.

Using a hidden camera embedded in his jacket, he secretly recorded meetings with politicians and business leaders. The prosecutor’s office has gathered evidence of his communications with figures like Kuczmierowski and Cezariusz Lesisz, the president of the Industrial Development Agency.

Arrested by Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW) in mid-2022, J. is facing trial for multiple frauds, influence peddling, and corruption charges. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison.
