POLADA determined that it would not challenge the decision of the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) regarding Świątek, who tested positive for trimetazidine in August.

Świątek admitted to taking a contaminated medication that she used for sleep problems, and ITIA concluded that the violation was not intentional.

After a thorough review of the case, POLADA agreed that the ITIA decision was in line with anti-doping regulations.

Iga Świątek received a one-month suspension, which ended on December 4.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has until January 21, 2025, to file an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
